JAKARTA. At least 30 companies are awaiting their turns for issuing their bonds and sukuk in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Their values amount to IDR 24.84 trillion in total.

I Gede Nyoman Yetna, Director of Corporate Evaluation of IDX, claims that the pipeline is now filled with 26 bonds and sukuk from 17 companies awaiting their issuance, all amounting to IDR 24.84 trillion. Additionally, there are companies that would issue shares, whose values reach IDR 9.6 trillion in total.

Yetna believes that this data indicates a lot of enthusiasm of the companies in raising funds through the stock market as the national stability and economic recovery continue to solidify this year.

Yetna further reveals that there are 44 listed companies that are planning to launch rights issues, targeting IDR 116.57 trillion in total. One of them is PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) with a goal of obtaining IDR 95.9 trillion in its rights issue. “BBRI’s rights issue holds the highest value in 2021, also creating a new record in proceeds since the stock market was first established in Indonesia,” Yetna explains.
