Jasa Marga optimistic 2021 performance target will be achieved

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk managed to maintain a positive performance during Semester I of 2021 which was reflected in the increase in revenue and EBITDA Margin caused by the operation of new toll roads in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the Public Expose LIVE 2021 which was held today, Wednesday (08/09), Jasa Marga's Investor Relations Department Head Milka Theodora also explained that the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the Company's business, but the Company was still able to maintain its market share at 51% with succeeded in adding operations along the 55.94 km toll road since the beginning of the year until now.

"Performance in the first semester of 2021 has improved, which is reflected in the increase in operating income by 29.95% due to the operation of new toll road sections supported by increased community mobilization, which has an impact on increasing traffic volume. Not only that, EBITDA also increased by 40.76% in line with the increase in Toll Revenue in Semester I of 2021. This also led to an increase in EBITDA Margin which reached 64.10%, "said Milka.

For the new toll road operation target until the end of 2021, Jasa Marga is targeting the Manado-Bitung Toll Road section of the Danowudu-Bitung (26.35 Km) to operate in the fourth quarter. Previously, Jasa Marga has successfully operated four other toll roads, namely Bogor Ring Road Toll Road Section 3A Simpang Yasmin-Semplak Intersection (2.85 Km), Cengkareng-Batuceper-Kunciran Toll Road (14.19 Km), Serpong Toll Road- Cinere Section I Serpong-Pamulang (6.50 Km), and the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road Section I (21.66 Km) and Section 5 (10.74 Km).

All of these achievements are of course because Jasa Marga has also made various efforts to maintain performance during the pandemic, such as carrying out several efficiencies, especially on business or operational expenses, implementing work programs according to a priority scale while maintaining the fulfillment of toll road Minimum Service Standards (SPM) up to optimizing the Company's assets, one of which is through asset recycling.
