BTN optimistic business performance target for this year will be achieved

JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. optimistic that it will achieve the company's business performance target by the end of 2021, contributed by various transformations carried out to take advantage of the great potential in the housing sector, stimulus from the government, to the momentum of national economic recovery.

"We are optimistic that Bank BTN's performance this year will be achieved and grow sustainably. For us, sustainability is a priority, especially in the face of various uncertainties in the future," explained Deputy President Director of Bank BTN Nixon LP Napitupulu in a virtual Public Expose of Bank BTN in Jakarta, Thursday (9/11).

In the company's business plan, BBTN aims for growth in assets, credit and Third Party Funds (DPK) in the range of 2%-4%, 6%-8%, and 5%-7%, respectively, by the end of 2021. This growth is targeted to be accompanied by strong capital and reserves. BBTN targets that by the end of 2021, the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) will be at the level of 16%-18% and the coverage ratio above 120%.

Nixon explained that in order to maintain this positive performance, the leading bank in the Home Ownership Credit (KPR) market in Indonesia has initiated various transformations. These transformations include strengthening credit access to segments with large growth potential. Among them are segments with high demand such as low-income people (MBR), millennials, urbanites, and business chains in the industry. (LM)
