As an effort to strengthen the smooth running of national logistics, Pelindo 1 continues to encourage the implementation of the National Logistic Ecosystem (NLE) in the major ports it manages, especially those in Medan and its surroundings.

"We fully support the government's initiation in the implementation of NLE as an effort to simplify service business processes, collaborate on logistics systems, and facilitate payment transactions," said Director of Business Transformation and Development of Pelindo 1, Joko Noerhudha.

In the North Sumatra region, three Pelindo 1 ports have implemented NLE namely the Container Terminal (TPK) and the port managed by Pelindo 1 subsidiary TPK Belawan Phase 2 operated by PT Prima Terminal Petikemas, and Kuala Tanjung Multipurpose Terminal (KTMT) operated by PT. Prima Multi Terminal.

In addition, Pelindo 1 is developing a Port Operation Command Center (POCC) to facilitate the implementation of NLE at ports. POCC is used as a control center and coordination of ship and terminal services as well as monitoring of ship queues. This POCC aims to improve services in port activities for the convenience of service users in line with increasing ship activities and loading and unloading of goods at a number of ports. (LM)
