JAKARTA – The House of Representatives of Indonesia (DPR RI) approves the request of state equity participation (lit. Penyertaan Modal Negara/PMN) of IDR 16.9 trillion in total for PT Hutama Karya (Persero) (HK) and PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT). The decision was finalised by the Commission VI of DPR RI yesterday (22/9).

Aria Bima, Vice Head of Commission VI of DPR RI, confirms that DPR RI had agreed to inject an additional 2021 PMN to HK of IDR 9 trillion and WKST of IDR 7.9 trillion. “Additional capital to Hutama Karya would be utilised to fund Trans Sumatra tollways, while Waskita Karya’s portion would be channelled to strengthen capital in the restructuring process, working capital, and toll investment,” he discloses further in the press release today (23/9).

At the beginning of the year, HK had obtained extra capital of IDR 6.2 trillion. Thus, once accumulated, HK would gain additional capital IDR 14.1 trillion, despite not hitting the target of IDR 19 trillion in 2021.

The state equity participation of IDR 6.2 trillion is expended to support the construction of Sigli-Banda Aceh route of IDR 3.09 trillion, Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Prapat route of IDR 414 billion, and Lubuk Linggau-Curup-Bengkulu route of IDR 2.7 trillion. (LK/ZH)
