23 September 2021 12:06

JAKARTA. PT Multipolar Tbk (MLPL), one of the investment groups in Lippo Group, had placed an investment in NOICE, a podcast and digital audio platform managed by PT Mahaka Radio Integra Tbk (MARI).

Natalie Lie, Corporate Secretary of MLPL, reveals that the investment is made through equity participation in MARI as the parent company that manages NOICE. However, the amount of investment channelled by MLPL is not yet specified.

For the record, MLPL currently has a net asset value (NAV) of over IDR 20 trillion. “It includes investments placed in over 40 star-up companies across Indonesia and nearby countries,” Lie continues her explanation in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange today (23/9).

On the same occasion, Lie mentions several reasons behind MLPL’s decision to invest in NOICE. NOICE is seen as having content originality. Furthermore, the organisation structure behind the platform consists of people with experience in global technology companies. NOICE had also been downloaded over 1 million times, almost without exerting any user acquisition costs.

According to idnfinancials.com data, MLPL possesses cash and cash equivalents of IDR 1.47 trillion by the end of June 2021. The total investments placed in associates reach IDR 2.45 trillion, while long-term investments amount to IDR 2.6 trillion. (KR/ZH)
