Waskita Karya to lend IDR 100 billion to restructure its subsidiaries’ debts

JAKARTA. PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) had provided a credit facility of IDR 100 billion to restructure the debts of one of its subsidiaries, PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR).

Ratna Ningrum, Senior Vice President Corporate Secretary of WSKT, explains that the said facility is channelled to PT Waskita Bumi Wira (WBW). “The said loan would be utilised by WBW to fulfil its obligations to the creditors and fund operational activities,” Ningrum reveals in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange.

For the record, WBW is a tollway corporation under WTR. One of the ongoing projects is Krian-Legundi-Bunder-Manyar (KLBM) toll road. WTR owns 99.90% of WBW’s shares as of September 22, 2021.

Last Wednesday (22/9), WSKT offered bonds worth IDR 1.77 trillion. These debt securities comprise two series, with the highest interest level capped at 6.8% per year and a maximum tenor of 7 years. (KR/ZH)
