Nusantara Infrastructure subsidiary supports SPAM development

JAKARTA - The need for drinking water always increases from year to year in line with the rapidly growing population. For this reason, the provision of drinking water is crucially needed in order to serve the various needs of the community.

Seeing these conditions, PT Potum Mundi Infranusantara (POTUM) which is a business unit of PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk (NI) in the clean water sector together with PT Alam Wiratama Kencana (AWK) has signed a memorandum of understanding (Memorandum of Understanding / MoU) with regional companies Drinking Water (PDAM) Tirta Dharma Manado in terms of management and development of Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) in Manado City.

Director of PT Potum Mundi Infranusantara (POTUM) Donny P Suleiman said, "Through this signing, we hope to contribute to the development of regional drinking water, especially Manado City in terms of meeting drinking water needs for the community.

The signing of this MoU is the beginning of the contribution of companies involved in the management and development of SPAM in Manado City starting from the existing capacity of 500 liters/second using non-chemical technology. This project is expected to be a profitable investment not only for the Company but also for the entire Community, PDAM and Manado City Government as well as various other stakeholders.

Currently, POTUM has operated three water treatment plants (WTP) with a total capacity of 2,025 liters/second through PT Sarana Catur Tirta Manajemen (SCTK) located in Serang, Banten; PT Dain Celicani Cemerlang (DCC) in Medan, North Sumatra; and PT Tirta Kencana Cahaya Mandiri (TKCM) in Cikokol, Tangerang, Banten.
