Axiata Investment to sell 5% of its shares in EXCL

JAKARTA – Axiata Investments (Indonesia) Sdn Bhd transfers 533,409,349 units of its shares in PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) for IDR 2,700 each to Ferrymount Investments Limited (FIL). Thus, this transaction value reaches IDR 1.44 trillion in total.

Ranty Astari Rachman, Corporate Secretary of XL Axiata, confirmed that the divested shares equal 5% of its entire issued and paid-up capital. “The stock transfer would be completed by October 2021,” she added in the information disclosure, quoted today (27/9).

As of August 2021, EXCL’s issued and paid-up capital totalled 10,724,674,776 shares. Axiata Investments controlled 66.13%, while the public claimed the remaining 33.34%, each owning below 5%.

FIL is an investment company legally incorporated under the law of the British Virgin Islands. The sales-purchase agreement between these companies would be started today (27/9). (LK/ZH)
