JAKARTA - PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI) is accelerating or encouraging the work of a fiber optic network along the railway line on the island of Java.

For information, WIFI is working on the project through its subsidiary PT Integration Network Ecosystem (Weave). The development of this fiber optic network is designed to produce a smooth infrastructure network, has large bandwidth, and stable connectivity with low latency.

Weave's Chief Operating Officer (COO) Massigit Dian Santoso told Bisnis that users of fiber optic network services built along the railroad tracks will have minimal interference, because this network is layered with 6 rings of protection.

The latest estimate from the World Bank states that the estimated total number of fixed broadband subscribers in Indonesia is around 9.7 million. (LM)
