JAKARTA – Ophir Asia Limited (OAL), Jersey, a subsidiary of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC), takes over the debts of Ophir Indonesia WP IV 2 LLC, Delaware, and Ophir Energy Limited (OEL), England, of USD 1,032,455 in total.

In the information disclosure, quoted Friday (1/10), Siendy K Wisandana, Corporate Secretary of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC), revealed that the novation agreement over the debt restructuring was initiated earlier this week (28/9).

OAL takes over the debts of WP IV 2 from WP IV 1 and OEL of USD 62,475 and USD 969,980 each. After the renewal, WP IV 2 now carries the same amount of obligations owed to OAL.

“The debt of WP IV 2 to WP IV 1 of USD 62,475 was reassigned to OAL. Thus, WP IV 2 would have the exact amount of obligations to OAL as the reassigned debt,” Wisandana confirmed. (LK/ZH)
