More details on Bank Banten’s rights issue is released

JAKARTA. At the end of the previous month, The Financial Services Authority (OJK) had given the effective statement to PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Banten Tbk (BEKS) regarding its plan to release new shares via a rights issue of IDR 1.8 trillion.

In the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange yesterday (5/10), it was stated that the number of shares involved in this rights issue would amount to 23.39 billion units. They are equivalent to 34.79% of its entire issued and paid-up capital after the rights issue.

The company had set the face value of the shares of IDR 50 each with the execution price of IDR 77 per share. Thus, the total proceeds of this rights issue could hit IDR 1.8 trillion.

The recording date to be eligible for these preemptive rights was set to October 12, 2021. The cum-rights date in the regular and negotiation market would be on October 8, 2021, while the cum date in the cash market follows on October 12, 2021.

Meanwhile, the ex-rights date in the regular and negotiation market is scheduled to October 11, 2021, and October 13, 2021, for the cash market. Then the certificate of preemptive rights would be distributed on October 13, 2021, while the shares traded in the rights issue would be recorded in Indonesia Stock Exchange on October 14, 2021. Regardless, as mentioned before, the preemptive rights transaction would take place from October 14 to 21, 2021. (AM/ZH)
