JAKARTA. PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WTON) obtained new contracts worth IDR 3.56 trillion by this September. Out of these projects, infrastructure ones dominated with 73.61%.
The company’s official statement further revealed that property projects arrived in second place, contributing 14.37%, followed by projects in the energy sector of 10.50%. Meanwhile, the current ongoing projects include Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail project, Batang Integrated Industrial Zone, NCICD Beach Embankment, Serpong-Balaraja toll road, Bogowonto River Embankment, and RDMP in Balikpapan.
As of June 2021, WTON saw a decline in its performance. Its operating profit depleted 32.79% year-on-year (yoy) from IDR 1.87 trillion to IDR 1.26 trillion. Fortunately, its net profit shot up to IDR 35.76 billion in June 2021 from IDR 34.2 trillion in H1 2020. (AM/ZH)
