Gov’t plans to score IDR 8 trillion in next week securities auction

JAKARTA. The Indonesian government is set to conduct another auction for Government Debt Securities (SUN) next Tuesday (12/10). This time, the indicative target is IDR 8 trillion or IDR 12 trillion at most.

According to the official announcement from the Directorate-General of Financing and Risk Management (DPPR) of the Finance Ministry, there would be 7 series of securities to be auctioned off. They comprise 2 series of Treasury Bills (SPN) and 5 series of Government Bonds (ON).

Both series of SPN would be offered with a discount coupon. Meanwhile, the five series of ON are issued with a coupon interest rate ranging from 5.13% to 6.88%.

The auction would be commenced on Tuesday (12/10) from 9 AM to 11 AM WIB. The settlement date is set to October 14, 2021.

The primary dealer joining the upcoming auction consists of 20 banks and security companies. Specifically, 14 of them are banks, while 6 others are security companies.

“The auction would be an open auction that uses a multiple price scheme. The winner who comes forward with the most competitive bids would pay according to the submitted yield,” DJPPR of the Finance Ministry confirmed in its official letter. (KR/ZH)
