JAKARTA – PT Karya Bhumi Lestari (KBL), a subsidiary of PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO), recently acquired a contract for mining equipment rental worth USD 265 million from PT Hardaya Mining Energy and PT Central Cipta Murdaya. These companies are said not to have any affiliations with KBL or PTRO.

Anto Broto, Corporate Secretary of Petrosea, revealed that the contract of mining services and its equipment rental with these customers would last for four years. “It would secure an additional income and improve the company’s financial condition,” he said in the information disclosure, quoted Tuesday (12/10).

PTRO, the absolute shareholder of 100% of KBL, is reported to own assets of USD 20.65 million as of June 2021. On August 27, 2021, PTRO transferred additional non-cash funds to KBL’s issued and paid-up capital worth IDR 253.91 billion. They consisted of 81 units of heavy equipment intended to boost its performance in the mining service sector.

This fresh contract from the two new customers would enhance PTRO’s user portfolio for this year. As of June 2021, the customers of PTRO in the service sector included CSTS Joint Operation, PT Tripatra Engineering & Constructors, and PT Indika Mineral Investindo. (LK/ZH)
