JAKARTA. PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BLTZ), the managing company of the CGV cinema network, had introduced a new CGV theatre at Mall Ciputra, Tangerang.
Yeo Deoksu, Director of BLTZ, confirmed that the new theatre opening took place yesterday (13/10). Once it was officially opened, it would be operated while abiding by the health protocol designed to reduce the COVID-19 spread.
“It would follow the guidelines, both from the central and local government,” Yeo explained in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) earlier today (14/10).
The inauguration of the said cinema is envisioned to help bring the movie production houses back into action. Besides, Yeo also intended that opening a new movie theatre would help to revive the economy within the creative industry.
According to idnfinancials.com, BLTZ’s net income within the first half of the year was corrected 58% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 98.17 billion. This massive downturn resulted from the temporary close down of several CGV theatres during the Community Activities Restriction Enforcement (PPKM) in various major cities. (KR/ZH)
