WIKA realised 37.6% of its new contract target by September

JAKARTA. PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) secured new contracts worth IDR 13.16 billion by the end of September 2021. It soars 92.4% higher than the reported amount in the same period in 2020. However, it only reached 37.6% of the newly revised target of IDR 35 trillion.

Mahendra Vijaya, Corporate Secretary of WIKA, did not specify particular reasons behind the massive upturn in the new contract value. Regardless, these certain projects obtained until this third quarter of 2021 include Section 4 of Cisumdawu Toll, Dhoho Airport in Kediri, and other infrastructure and building projects. Mahendra announced this news in Kontan.co.id last week.

WIKA was previously reported to have lowered down its new contract target from IDR 40.12 trillion to IDR 35 trillion. Unfortunately, the new contract realisation until September only hit 50% of the target. Mahendra believed that it resulted from postponements of several tenders.

Mahendra further revealed that the latest projects eyed by WIKA in Q4 2021 are projects within the infrastructure, building, and industrial plant segments. (AM/ZH)
