State income realisation has reached 77.7% of the target

JAKARTA. The Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, confirmed that the realisation of state income by the ninth month of 2021 has reached IDR 1,354.8 trillion. It is equivalent to 77.7% of the 2021 State Budget target of IDR 1,743.6 trillion. Meanwhile, the state expenditure was contracted by 1.9%, reaching IDR 1,806.8 trillion.

During the Performance and Target of State Budget (APBN KITA) press conference, the minister claimed that the said income realisation grew by 16.8%. Out of the said IDR 1,354.8 trillion, IDR 850.1 trillion came from tax revenue that increased 13.2%. “It indicates something incredibly positive,” Indrawati stated.

Indrawati further specified that out of the total revenue, tax revenue by September 2021 reached IDR 850.1 trillion, covering 69.1% of the target. Then, the customs and duty realisation amounted to IDR 182.9 trillion, hitting 85.1% of the target and significantly proliferating by 29.0% year-on-year (yoy). Lastly, non-tax state income triumphed, scoring IDR 320.8 trillion or 107.6% of the target and growing by 22.5% yoy.

On the contrary, until September 30, 2021, state expenditure reached IDR 1,806.8 trillion, sliding off by 1.9%. It comprised central government expenditure of IDR 1,265.3 trillion and regional transfer and rural funds (TKDD) of IDR 541.5 trillion. Additionally, the State Budget deficit amounted to IDR 452 trillion or 2.74% of the gross domestic product (GDP). (AM/ZH)
