Alfamart placed more investment in Alfamidi

JAKARTA. PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT), the managing company of Alfamart retail network, had increased its ownership in PT Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk (MIDI) to 89.43%.

Tomin Widian, Corporate Secretary of AMRT, stated that this ownership raise was done through a direct investment placed by the company. In the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Widian claimed that this action was not categorised as material transactions as regulated by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

According to idnfinancials.com data, the ownership percentage of AMRT in MIDI was officially elevated on October 22, 2021, using the price of IDR 1,990 per share. Thus, the total expenditure was reported to reach IDR 155 billion.

After this transaction, AMRT gained 2.57 million shares of MIDI. Initially, AMRT only had 2.49 million units, equal to 86.72% of the entire MIDI’s outstanding shares.

Until this 1.45 PM WIB, AMRT’s stock price is slowly revived 0.80% or 10 points to IDR 1,255 per share. Furthermore, the number of traded shares since today’s opening bell has reached 7.67 million units. (KR/ZH)
