ROTI posted a profit of IDR 209.7 billion

27 October 2021 10:16

JAKARTA – PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (ROTI), a bread manufacturer, gained IDR 209.7 billion in net profit in Q3 2021, 65% higher than the same period in 2020 of IDR 87.21 billion. This jump resulted from efficiencies in operating expenses and financial costs that countered the slight shift in sales from IDR 2.44 trillion to IDR 2.43 trillion.

Ida Situmorang, Director of Nippon Indosari Corpindo, claimed that the total sales were mainly supported by increases in general and modern trade sales. “With an accurate selling strategy and various initiatives to boost productivity, the company managed to maintain sales and enhance profitability amidst the pandemic,” she mentioned in the press release earlier today (27/10).

The gross profit was reported to reach IDR 1.32 trillion, sloping down from IDR 1.35 trillion, with a gross profit margin of 54.3%. Additionally, EBITDA and net profit margins were at 18.1% and 8.6%, respectively.

It was also confirmed that the company had spent its capital expenditure budget of IDR 173 billion by the end of Q3 2021 to establish a new factory in Pekanbaru and elevate production capacity in its Palembang factory. “The capital expenditure was spent to ensure business continuity. Next year, the factories in Pekanbaru and Palembang could hopefully start to operate,” Situmorang added. (LK/ZH)
