DNSG scored IDR 424 billion in profit in Q3 2021

JAKARTA – PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSNG) scored IDR 424 billion by the end of Q3 2021, soaring as high as 162% from the number reported in Q3 2020. President Director of Dharma Satya Nusantara, Andrianto Oetomo, announced this achievement in a press release published earlier today (29/10).

According to Oetomo, the profit boost went hand-in-hand with 15% sales growth to IDR 5.1 trillion, driven by the increased crude palm oil (CPO) price and wood products prices. “The increase of global demands for vegetable oil throughout Q2-Q3, as well as energy crises in several countries, had elevated the company’s CPO price in the third quarter of this year,” he added.

It was mentioned that the most extensive contributor is palm sales, covering 81% of the revenue, while the remaining portion came from wood products sales. “The palm sales reached IDR 4.1 trillion, increasing 12% from the same period last year. Although the CPO sales volume depleted 5% to 413 thousand tons, the price went up to IDR 8.7 million per ton from IDR 7.7 million per ton,” Oetomo claimed.

According to Oetomo, the CPO price increase would continue until the end of this year as the energy crises are detected in China and India. Moreover, CPO supplies from Malaysia are still limited due to a shortage of workforce. (LK/ZH)
