Humpuss bought two new ships for IDR 22.5 billion

JAKARTA. PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi Tbk (HITS), a transportation company with total assets of USD 213.6 million, has recently purchased two units of tug and barge ships for IDR 22.5 billion.

These boats were acquired from its unaffiliated parties. They are called TB Mitra Anugerah 36 and TB Mitra Anugerah 38.

“The ship purchase was decided to help the company’s subsidiaries develop,” Kemal Imam Santoso, President Director of Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi, revealed.

Buying these ships was conducted through one of HITS’s subsidiaries, PT Humpuss Transportasi Curah (HTC). According to idnfinancials.com data, HTC is a company whose 99.99% of its shares are indirectly owned by HITS through PT MISI Hutama Internasional (MHI). As of October 28, 2021, HITS claims 99.97% of MHI’s shares.

To provide more details, MHI is a company established in 2016. It runs the ship’s crew management business. On the other hand, HTC has been operating the ship rental service business since 2004. MHI’s total assets recorded on June 30, 2021, amounted to USD 18.26 million, while HTC’s were USD 18.04 million. (KR/ZH)
