JAKARTA. The performance of PT Bank Permata Tbk (BNLI) ended on a positive note by September 2021, scoring double digit growth percentage. Its net profit soared 93% from September 2020, from IDR 430 billion to IDR 831 billion.

The management of BNLI, in its press release, revealed that the company successfully raised its credit channelling by 21% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 124.2 trillion. It was supported by the corporate segment increase by 45% yoy and housing ownership credit by 23% yoy. Meanwhile, the users’ savings also climbed 23% yoy, in which the savings and current accounts contributed to the growth of 28%.

This performance brought the operating revenue of BNLI to IDR 7.5 trillion, growing 17% yoy, as it did BNLI’s operating profit prior to reservations to IDR 3.5 trillion, climbing 28% yoy. Meanwhile, BNLI’s operating expenses to operating revenue ratio also improved to 88% from 92%. This particular achievement was made possible due to the decreased credit loss reservations alongside an improved credit portfolio quality.

Chalit Tayjasanant, President Director of Permata Bank, claimed that these gains reported in Q3 2021 resulted from the company’s persistent strategy of reaching out to wider market and user segments by offering product innovations and synergised digital banking services. Additionally, as the controlling shareholder, Bangkok Bank also gave its full support to Permata Bank.
