JAKARTA – The performance of PT Prodia Widya Tbk (PRDA), a clinic and laboratory operating company, skyrocketed in Q3 2021 compared to the gain in Q3 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic went on. Its revenue and profit surged 65.60% and 318% from last year.
Dewi Muliaty, President Director of Prodia Widya, mentioned that the revenue came up to IDR 1.99 trillion, while the profit jumped to IDR 511.08 billion in Q3 221. “The increases in revenue and profit resulted from higher demands for general medical check-ups and esoteric tests, including genomic tests,” she explained in the press release, quoted Wednesday (3/11).
According to Muliaty, the company had performed 13.7 million tests, 80% of which were esoteric tests (new/special tests) and routine tests. Another 18% came from COVID-19-related tests, while the remaining covered other medical tests. Moreover, the revenue from esoteric tests alone grew 110.7% to IDR 828.69 billion; and patients’ visits increased by 37.6% to 2,683,905 in Q3 2021.
The highest contributor to the revenue was the individual and doctor reference visits, dominating by 68.4%, while the third-party reference visits covered another 31.6%. (LK/ZH)
