ZINC’s profit surged 138.10% in Q3 2021

JAKARTA – The profit of PT Kapuas Prima Coal Tbk (ZINC) jumped by 138.10% as the revenue grew 61.01% in Q3 2021 from the same period last year. The sales and revenue soared as the iron concentrate generated sales this year, unlike last year of empty sales number.

Harjanto Widjaja, President Director of PT Kapuas Prima Coal Tbk (ZINC), announced that the company had collected revenue of IDR 612.59 billion. It grew from IDR 380.46 billion, similar to how its gross profit proliferated 110.24% from IDR 111.72 billion to IDR 233.89 billion.

The most extensive contributor to the revenue is zinc (Zn), bringing in IDR 260.35 billion. It was followed by iron concentrate sales of IDR 100.12 billion, silver (Ag) of IDR 98.63 billion, galena-lead (Pb) IDR 95.95 billion, and iron ores IDR 57.51 billion. In Q3 2020, zinc products contributed IDR 184.59 billion, silver IDR 104.64 billion, galena-lead IDR 83.80 billion, and iron ores IDR 7.40 billion.

ZINC managed to score a profit before income taxes of IDR 86.4 billion, proliferating from IDR 26.38 billion. It resulted from the gain over sales and leaseback of some flotation machines and equipment of IDR 10.31 billion. In the end, the current year profit was reported to reach IDR 65.44 billion, higher than IDR 26.38 billion in Q3 2020. (LK/ZH)
