JAKARTA – PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) collected revenue of IDR 19.80 trillion until Q3 2021, climbing IDR 145 billion from revenue reported in the same period in 2020 of IDR 19.56 trillion. The most extensive contribution came from the data segment.
In its Financial Report of Q3 2021 published earlier today (9/11), Dian Siswarini, President Director of XL Axiata, claimed that the data segment brought in IDR 16.80 trillion to revenue. It was then followed by the non-data segment with IDR 1.60 trillion and other sources of income. In comparison, in the same period in 2020, the data segment generated IDR 16.09 trillion, while the non-data line secured IDR 2.24 trillion. Similarly, the rest of the revenue flowed from other services, for example, telecommunication services, interconnection, leased lines, and leased towers.
Despite the increase in revenue, XL’s current year profit got cut by half from IDR 2.07 trillion to IDR 1.1 trillion. This decline entailed a massive decrease in tower sales and leaseback to IDR 313.29 billion, only less than a third of the one reported in Q3 2020 of IDR 1.97 trillion. (LK/ZH)
