JAKARTA. The current year net profit of PT Bank Bisnis Internasional Tbk (BBSI) by Q3 2021 doubled from last year due to the increased interest income of 36% year-on-year (yoy).
Based on the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) quoted Tuesday (30/11), Bank Bisnis scored IDR 47.28 billion in the current year net profit by the end of September 2021. In the same period last year, it only reached IDR 23.18 billion. As previously stated, the 36% interest income growth, from IDR 74.38 billion to IDR 90.31 billion, became the main support for this impressive bottom-line performance.
Within the first nine months of 2021, the company had distributed credits of IDR 920.77 billion, climbing 2% year-to-date (ytd), while its users’ savings grew 22% ytd. Thus, BBSI’s assets cumulatively reached IDR 1.59 trillion by the end of Q3 2021, jumping 10% from last year’s spot of IDR 1.44 trillion.
PT Finaccel Teknologi Indonesia is the current major shareholder of the company, owning 40% of BBSI after raising its ownership percentage through a transaction on October 15, 2021, by 16%. In regard to the said ownership percentage increase, Bank Bisnis would arrange an Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting. It would discuss the change in the company’s shareholder structure, in which PT Finaccel Teknologi Indonesia acquired 40% of the shares.
