JAKARTA – PT Autopedia Sukses Lestari (ASL), the managing company of automotive marketplace Autopedia.com, purchased 4,509 shares of Japan Bike Auction Company (JBAC) for JPY 1.67 billion or IDR 206.69 billion in PT JBA Indonesia. Corporate Secretary of PT Adi Sarana Armada (ASSA), which is the parent company of Autopedia, Hindra Tanujaya, announced this news in the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (1/12).

It was mentioned that Autopedia’s ownership rose to 84.4% of the total 13.5 billion shares of JBAI after the transaction last week (26/11). Other than Autopedia, Mitsui & Co Ltd and PT Summit Auto Group each owns 7.8%.

“Hopefully, purchasing JBAC’s shares in JBAI could provide financial benefits to the company, more so if JBAI gained positive profit situation,” Tanujaya stated.

JBAC and ASSA are not affiliated. JBAI is known as the managing company of auction platforms for secondhand vehicles located in Jakarta, Medan, Pekanbaru, Lampung, and Makassar. (LK/ZH)
