JAKARTA – PT Protelindo, a subsidiary of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), became the guarantor of a credit facility worth IDR 5.25 trillion secured by PT Solusi Tunas Pratama Tbk (SUPR) from PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BGNA). For the record, Protelindo is the owner of 94.03% of SUPR’s shares.
Irfan Ghazali, Corporate Secretary of Sarana Menara Nusantara, confirmed that Protelindo would be obliged to be responsible for all SUPR’s obligations regarding the said facility agreement. “The period would last 60 months since the signing yesterday (1/12),” he added, quoted on Monday (6/12).
According to Ghazali, the decision of making Proteliindo the guarantor was made so that SUPR would gain better financing terms and conditions from banks than it previously had. The said financing facility is expected to boost the operational efficiency of SUPR, which would subsequently affect Protelindo’s performance. (LK/ZH)
