JAKARTA. PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) agreed to a financing contract worth IDR 2.45 trillion given to PT Hutama Karya and its contractors. Most of the said facility would be used to fund several ongoing projects. For the record, this facility has a tenor of 12 months.

The total financing would be distributed to different limits, in which IDR 2.2 trillion of it would be the limit for the working capital credit granted to Hutama Karya. Meanwhile, another IDR 250 billion would become the financing limit for the suppliers of Hutama Karya, using invoice financing as the underlying scheme. This financing is intended to optimise the management of suppliers’ liquidity to ensure a timely project.

Arief Ariyana, Executive Vice President Corporate Banking of Bank Mandiri, also hoped that the value chain financing could assist the suppliers or subcontractors of Hutama Karya in securing the funds more quickly. “Thus, it would improve its financial liquidity and the quality of the project work,” he added in the written statement, quoted Thursday (9/12).

Hilda Savitri, Director of Financial and Risk Management of Hutama Karya, claimed that the collaboration between Hutama Karya and Bank Mandiri is a vital synergy in supporting the financial conditions of the supplier and subcontractors. She wished that the suppliers could utilise this financing to maintain the company’s liquidity and enhance their performances in tackling strategic projects. (AM/ZH)
