JAKARTA. PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) disclosed its net profit record, reaching IDR 7 trillion by the end of November 2021. It was supported by its revenue reaching IDR 26.2 trillion.

Apollonius Andwie, Corporate Secretary of PTBA, claimed that the gains in revenue and net profit by the end of this November resulted from the momentum of coal price surge. “On the other hand, PTBA maintains its sustainable efficiency strategies in every line of business activities as an anticipation towards coal price volatility,” he explained in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange earlier today (10/12).

PTBA’s revenue gain until this November was also driven by coal production that reached 28 million tons. Furthermore, the volume of coals that had been sold amounted to 25.8 million tons. The company then set the target of coal production volume to rise to 30 million tons by the end of this year, growing from 24.8 million tons set in 2020.

In terms of assets, PTBA reported an increase to IDR 35.2 trillion as of November 2021. At the end of last year, its total assets only reached IDR 24.1 trillion. (KR/ZH)
