JAKARTA. PT Jasnita Telekomindo (JAST), a telecommunication company under JAST Group, once again reported a loss of IDR 8.4 billion in January-September (9M) 2021.
JAST’s loss in 9M 2021 resulted from the higher revenue costs and operating expenses compared to its income. In 9M 2021, the company scored IDR 46.02 billion in revenue. However, the cost of revenue amounted to IDR 29.5 billion, its operating expenses were IDR 25.45 billion, and other expenses reached IDR 1.67 billion.
Furthermore, it is true that JAST collected higher revenue by 7.6% year-on-year (yoy) by the end of September 2021. However, the company’s cost of revenue also soared 6.2%, while its operating expenses shot up by 23.5%.
Fortunately, the loss JAST suffered in 9M 2021 was lower than the number they lost in the same period last year, which reached IDR 10.16 billion. In fact, JAST had once dealt with a loss of up to IDR 13.31 billion by the end of the fiscal year 2020.
As of September 30, 2021, 53.10% of JAST was still under the control of PT Persada Inti Sejahtera, while Kristina Dwi Suryan claimed another 2.82%, Nurhajanto 0.41%, and public investors 46.01%. (KR/ZH)
