JAKARTA. The contractor, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, would soon conduct its rights issue, aiming for fresh funds of IDR 11.90 trillion. This action follows the Government Regulation regarding the State Equity Participation from the government worth IDR 7.9 trillion.
“With the approved Government Regulation, the effective statement from OJK [regarding the rights issue] shall soon be acquired, and the rights issue shall immediately proceed,” Taufik Hendra Kusuma, Financial and Risk Management of Waskita Karya, stated in the press release Thursday (16/12).
Kusuma then explained that in the said Government Regulation of State Equity Participation No. 116/2021, the government felt the need for Waskita Karya to improve its capital structure and boost its business capacity in order to support the National Economic Recovery program and the completion of the National Strategic Projects in the tollway construction sector.
