The realisation of PEN program only hits 71.6% of IDR 744.7 billion

JAKARTA. Until mid-December 2021, the government only realised IDR 533.6 trillion or 71.6% of the total budget for the National Economic Recovery (lit. Pemulihan Ekonomi Nasional/PEN) program of IDR 744.7 billion. The highest realisation was recorded in the business incentive cluster, reaching 100.5%.

Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs, confirmed that until last Friday (17/12), the realised PEN budget only amounted to IDR 533.6 trillion from the maximum allotment of IDR 744.7 trillion. “Even the realised health budget only hit 68.6%,” he revealed in a press conference yesterday (21/12).

Then, Hartarto specified that the realised PEN budget for healthcare only reached IDR 147.4 trillion or 68.6% of the budget limit. Then, the social protection cluster used up IDR 161.17 trillion (86.4% of the budget), followed by the priority program of IDR 87.47 trillion (74.2%) and the lowest realisation of IDR 74.36 trillion (45.8%) observed in the MSMEs and corporate supports.

On the other hand, the budget realisation in the business incentive cluster was the highest, amounting to 100.5% of the total allotment, equal to IDR 63.16 trillion. According to Hartarto, this percentage shows how many business owners that utilise the incentives to support their business sustainability. (AM/ZH)
