JAKARTA. The Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, believed that this year’s state income could fulfil the target stated in the 2021 State Budget of IDR 1,743.6 trillion.

According to Mulyani, up to this point, the total state income has reached IDR 1,699.4 trillion. Specifically, IDR 1,082.6 trillion came from taxes, increasing 17%. Then, non-tax income amounted to IDR 382.5 trillion, jumping 25.4%, followed by the customs and excise income that reached IDR 232.3 trillion, shifting 26.6% higher.

Referring to the State Budget target, tax income has met 88% of the target, non-tax income 128.3%, and customs and excise 108%.

“We estimate that by the end of this year, all sectors of state income would surpass the State Budget target,” Mulyani asserted during the Performance and Facts of State Budget press conference earlier today (21/12).

Based on Mulyani’s explanation, the most influential factor in this high income is the commodity price surge occurring throughout the past year, particularly coal and palm oil, which are two of Indonesia’s top export products. (AM/ZH)
