Indonesia Investment Authority placed another investment in MTEL

JAKARTA. Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) has increased its portion in PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL), an issuer freshly listed last November.

According to Renyandyah Jovian, VP Investor Relation of MTEL, the total company’s shares purchased by INA amounted to 308.46 million units. The said transaction occurred from November 22, 2021, until December 13, 2021.

“The purpose is for a long-term investment,” Jovian explained in the information disclosure.

As of December 20, 2021, MTEL’s shares acquired by INA have reached 4.18 billion shares, which are equivalent to 5% of INA’s shares outstanding.

MTEL’s share acquisition by INA was conducted using the lowest price of IDR 759 per share and the highest capped at IDR 793 each. Thus, the total investment made by INA in MTEL in all transactions was estimated to reach IDR 240.68 billion. (KR/ZH)
