ICDX multilateral transactions reach IDR 52 trillion

JAKARTA - ICDX Commodity Exchange managed to record growth in multilateral transactions of more than IDR 52 trillion throughout 2021. ICDX noted that the product that became the largest contributor was gold with a total transaction volume of 370,312 lots settled, or more than half of the total transaction volume of all multilateral products traded on ICDX. namely gold, palm oil, tin, foreign exchange (Forex), and crude oil. Until mid-December 2021, ICDX's total multilateral transaction volume reached 611,198 lots settled.

ICDX's commodity derivative products consisting of gold, crude oil and foreign exchange (GOFX) are also one of the main contributors to the achievement of ICDX multilateral derivative transactions. As of mid-December 2021, GOFX's total transactions have reached 599,550 lots settled, touching the figure of more than IDR 37 trillion. This figure is an increase of 110% when compared to the same period in 2020.

“ICDX is committed to continuing to grow Commodity Futures Trading, especially multilateral transactions in accordance with the direction of our regulator, BAPPEBTI, the Ministry of Trade. Seeing the growth we have achieved this year, ICDX is optimistic that it can continue to increase the growth of multilateral transactions in 2022," said ICDX CEO Lamon Rutten.

Throughout 2021, ICDX has launched 13 foreign exchange contracts. Six of them are micro-sized contracts, namely GBPCADMic, EURCHFMic, NZDJPYMic, AUDCADMic, GBPNZDMic, and CHFJPYMic. ICDX Forex contracts, especially micro pairs, provide accessibility for the public to be able to transact foreign exchange with less funds because the initial margin is very affordable. (LM)
