Seeing prospects in the solar panel business, JSKY eyes rapid sales growth in 2022

JAKARTA. In 2022, PT Sky Energy Indonesia Tbk (JSKY) aims for net sales of IDDR 430.20 billion, proliferating 173.97% from the 2021 sales target of IDR 157.02 billion. The confidence posed by the company is based on the investment that would be made in solar panel production increase.

Christoper Liawan, President Director of Sky Energy, said that the optimistic view of his company for next year was supported by the prediction of the recovered sales, especially in the export market, which is targeted to reach IDR 430.20 billion and IDR 105.20 billion in the domestic market. “I hope that in 2022, we can restore our condition back to before the pandemic, and in the future, we can grow further and exceed the pre-pandemic sales,” he added through a virtual public expose yesterday (22/12).

Liawan also said that by the end of the first nine months of 2021, JSKY scored IDR 117.76 billion in sales. It comprised local sales of IDR 66.40 billion, jumping 56% year-on-year (yoy), and export sales of IDR 51.36 billion, shifting 44% higher yoy.

Liawan further claimed that the solar panel business is one for the future. This business promises prospects and wide-open opportunities, coinciding with renewable energy utilisation development in Indonesia and the world. Thus, his company would optimise the business growth in next year by investing more in building two new production plants in Bitung and Korin. These new factories would increase JSKY’s production capacity by 130 MW. (AM/ZH)
