Jasa Armada Indonesia to add 4 new ships worth IDR 90.5 billion

JAKARTA. PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk (IPCM), a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo II, has signed a contract for the construction of 4 new ships with a total value of IDR 90.5 billion.

Eddy Haristiani, Corporate Secretary of IPCM, explained that the construction of the four ships is aimed at supporting the company's business development, by collaborating with other parties. "The construction of the ship uses an IPO (Initial Public Offering) source of funds," Haristiani said through information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

The parties appointed by IPCM for the construction of the 4 ships are PT Dumas Tanjung Perak Shipyards (DTPS), PT Galangan Kapal Yasa Wahana Tirta, and PT Constrine Jaya Group.

DTPS is a company that will build 1 unit of Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) tugboat. The value of the contract signed for the construction of this ship is IDR 68.9 billion.

Meanwhile, Galangan Kapal Yasa and Constrine Jaya will build 3 units of Outboard Engine type pilot boats. The contract value signed for the construction of these 3 ships is IDR 21.63 billion.

As of September 30, 2021, 76.89% of IPCM's shares were controlled by Pelindo. PT Pelabuhan Indonesia Investama owns 10.78%, PT Multi Terminal 0.11%, and the remaining 12.07% is owned by public investors. (KR/LM)
