JCI slides 33.34 points at midday break

JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) closed the first trading session today at 6,662.03. The index was down 0.50% or 33.34 points from the last trade.

According to Kontan's report, nine sectoral indices weakened and dragged the JCI into the red zone. The deepest decline occurred in the technology sector, which fell 2.03%, while the energy sector gained 0.15%.

The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 15.24 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 18.28 trillion. The top losers for LQ45 this afternoon are PT Bukalapak Tbk (BUKA), PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) and PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL). (LM)
