JAKARTA – PT Protelindo disburses IDR 110 billion as a deposit regarding the plan of PT Komet Infra Nusantara (KIN) to sell some of its telecommunication towers. KIN is a subsidiary of Protelindo, which is another subsidiary of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR).
Irfan Ghazali, Corporate Secretary of Sarana Menara Nusantara, said that the deposit transfer is a part of bigger steps to consolidate telecommunication towers assets into Protelindo. “For Protelindo, these towers are envisioned to bring forth maximum results,” he stated in the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (12/1).
Protelindo is currently conducting due diligence regarding the plan as the agreement about this deposit transfer was finalised last week (7/1).
As previously known, Protelindo has become the new controller of PT Solusi Tunas Pratama Tbk (SUPR), a company engaged in the telecommunication tower management. By the end of last year, SUPR conducted a mandatory tender offer of 5.97%, equal to IDR 1.06 trillion, of its entire issued and paid-up capital. (LK/ZH)
