Prasidha Aneka Niaga to let go of its cacao beans processing plant in Makassar

JAKARTA – PT Aneka Bumi Kencana (ABK), a subsidiary of PT Prasidha Aneka Niaga Tbk (PSDN), plans to sell its cacao beans processing plant and its land of 26.20 Ha in Tamanlarea, Makassar, South Sulawesi for IDR 39.43 billion. This divestment plan needs to be discussed further in the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting next month (17/2).

In the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (12/1), Didik Tandionon, Vice President Director of Prasidha Aneka Niaga, explained that the asset divestment plan is intended to cut down bank debts, thus alleviating the burden of principal and interest debt obligations of the company. “The buyer of the land and the building is PT Gatra Bintang Lestari (GBL), and the buyer of the factory machine is Robert Tantowi,” he specified.

The transaction value is sporting a price above the market in June 2021, amounting to IDR 38.31 billion. The transaction also equals 52.92% of the company’s equity reported on June 30, 2021, of IDR 74.63 billion. For the record, PSDN’s short-term liabilities amount to IDR 320.98 billion, comprising short-term bank loans of IDR 208.23 billion and bank debts due this year of IDR 21.25 billion. (LK/ZH)
