JAKARTA. PT Central Omega Tbk (DKFT) has purchased 75% of PT Afit Lintas Jaya, a company that owns a mining business license of limestone production, for a price of IDR 10 billion.

Feni Silviani Budiman, Director of DKFT, explained that Afit Lintas Jaya’s shares were acquired through its subsidiary, PT Mulia Pacific Resources (MPR). “The acquisition of Afit’s shares by MPR is the company’s strategy to maintain the raw materials supply chain for its nickel smelting facility production,” she added in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

At the same time, Budiman also confirmed that Afit’s mining produce is quicklime or unslaked lime (CaO). This compound will then be utilised as the raw material used for the nickel smelting industry, which will be established in North Morowali, Central Sulawesi, and several surrounding areas.
