JAKARTA. With all its ongoing corporate actions, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WASKT) sets out to score new contracts worth IDR 25 to 30 trillion in 2022.

Ratna Ningrum, SVP Corporate Secretary of Waskita Karya, is optimistic that the company will manage to secure new contracts worth IDR 25 to 30 trillion, shifting upward by 22%-46%. This confidence is based on the corporate actions currently being performed by the company. They include obtaining syndicated loans from Himbara banks with a government guarantee, the bond and sukuk issuance, plus a rights issue. Additionally, the success of attaining 100% of the 2021 new contract target adds to the confidence of target achievement in 2022.

Waskita’s current focus is to cut down losses significantly and implement the eight points of the Waskita Financial Health Recovery Program, which has been undergoing since 2021, as Ningrum explained in Kontan.co.id last week.

The eight streams of the Waskita Financial Health Recovery Program are restructuring processes of the parent company and subsidiaries, a government guarantee, the domestic capital investment and rights issue, tollways divestments, completions of tollways constructions, business transformation, good corporate governance (GCG) implementation, and risk management.
