Shareholders approve the rights issue plan of Sinergi Inti Plasindo

JAKARTA. PT Sinergi Inti Plasindo Tbk (ESIP) has obtained approval during the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting regarding its intention to issue 640 million new shares along with preemptive rights, also known as a rights issue.

Eric Budisetio Kurniawan, President Director of ESIP, claimed that 67.3% of the shareholders present at the meeting last week agreed to the said plan. At the same meeting, the shareholders also gave the green light to the plan of issuing Series II Warrants, convertible to shares, of 224.12 million units.

Currently, the ratio, schedule, and offering price have not been decided. However, the shareholders had given the authority to the management of ESIP to determine those important details.

Based on idnfinancials.com data, ESIP announced this corporate action plan in December 2021. In the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the management said that the rights issue proceeds would be allocated to the working capital.

As of September 30, 2021, 55.37% of ESIP were claimed by PT Tanindo Omega Pasifik. Meanwhile, another 14.94% belonged to Eric Budisetio Kurniawan, followed by 29.69% that were divided among public investors. (KR/ZH)
