JAKARTA - Electrum, a joint venture between Gojek and TBS Energi Utama, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gogoro®, a leading global technology company in the battery swap ecosystem that supports sustainable urban mobility. Through the signing of this MoU, Electrum and Gogoro will work together to strengthen the development of the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in Indonesia, especially in two-wheeled vehicles and efficient battery solutions.
The collaboration with Gogoro is part of Electrum's real steps in realizing the development of the EV ecosystem in Indonesia. For Gogoro, this MoU is an opportunity to introduce a proven battery swap platform to the Indonesian market. To date, Gogoro has experienced rapid growth with various trials in Taiwan and already has more than 450,000 riders, more than 10,000 battery exchange stations in 2,300 locations, and more than 250 million swap batteries.
