Cashlez to handle non-cash transactions in Sarinah

24 January 2022 20:00

JAKARTA. PT Cashlex Worldwide Indonesia Tbk (CASH) announces its latest collaboration to provide the cashless transaction facility in the shopping centre owned by PT Sarinah (Persero). Sarinah is a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) that focuses on the retail business.

With this partnership, all Sarinah online and offline outlets can receive cashless payments that have been integrated into the CASH ecosystem. These payments include transactions using credit and debit cards, QRIS, Virtual Accounts, and PayLaters.

Fetty Kwartati, President Director of Sarinah, claimed that this partnership is the form of collaboration between the company and fintech amidst the retail industry digitalisation. “Digitalisation is inevitable in the retail sector. However, the physical experience of shopping still holds an attractive value for the consumers,” she stated in the official release earlier today (24/1).

Meanwhile, Suwandi, President Director of CASH, said that his company has a similar vision with Sarinah in promoting business owners in Indonesia. “Especially MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises),” he explained during the same occasion.

“We hope that this collaboration can promote local brands of MSMEs and other domestic products to enter the global market through this cashless payment access,” Suwandi added. (KR/ZH)
