JAKARTA. PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (WSBP) seeks new contracts of IDR 3.5 trillion this year, approximately 30% higher than the new contract realisation in 2021 of IDR 2.7 trillion.

FX Poerbayu Ratsunu, President Director of WSBP, claimed that the company is optimistic about attaining the sad target due to the quite expansive market potential of Waskita Group. The potentials include infrastructure projects to be managed by Waskita Group, ranging from dams, transmissions, railway tracks, and tollways.

“Especially tollway projects in Java and Sumatra,” Ratsunu told idnfinancials.com in the written statement earlier today.

In addition, Ratsunu also stated that WSBP will secure market opportunities outside Waskita Group. These include projects commissioned by private businesses, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and subsidiaries. “Then, we also raise our pariticipation rate in the government’s projects,” Ratsunu added.

With this new contract target, plus the carry-over contracts of WSBP from 2021, the total contract value secured by the company is estimated to reach IDR 7.2 trillion. Thus, it will guarantee the company’s potential income until the end of this year.

In order to secure the said amount of contracts this year, WSBP will optimise its operations in nine precast manufacturing facilities spread across Sumatra and Java. For the record, the total production capacity of these nine plants will reach 3.7 million tons per year. (KR/ZH)
