SHAREit to focus on Southeast Asia digital ecosystem in 2022

27 January 2022 19:37

JAKARTA. SHAREit, a technology company that focuses on application development for the global market, will concentrate on developing a digital ecosystem to reach offline consumers in Southeast Asia this year.

The endeavour to extend the said offline audience will involve utilising the cell technology, as stated by Karam Malhotra, Global VP and Partner of SHAREit Group. “This audience group will be essential, as a collaborative society will only emerge through the participation of all aspects. SHAREit, a sharing and content discovery platform, will allow its users to share files and contents, even when they are offline,” Malhotra explained.

Additionally, Malhotra claimed that SHAREit currently has a mission to be the enabler of an application ecosystem. In order to attain this goal, SHAREit has established partnerships with fintech and social media companies to cover the users that are yet to enter the digital ecosystem.

Other strategies include providing marketing solutions for all channels, ranging from building awareness to user acquisition. It is considered an alternative due to the high number of people with limited digital connectivity, as seen in Indonesia or the Philippines.

“Countries like Indonesia and the Philippines still have quite extensive offline consumer populations, in which we still often detect failures in accessing contents and entertainment,” Malhotra further elaborated.

In 2021, SHAREit was listed as the fourth-highest application in the application-based advertising platform, based on a report published by AppsFlyer. Up to this moment, SHAREit has been installed by almost 2.4 bllion users globally. (KR/ZH)
