EXCL acquired 66.03% of LINK

JAKARTA – Axiata Investments (Indonesia) Sdn Bhd (AII) and PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) take over 66.03% of shares of PT Link Net Tbk (LINK) for a total transaction worth IDR 8.52 trillion. The said deal was signed by LINK’s shareholders, KBLV and Asia Link Dewa Pte Ltd (ALD), alongside Axiata and EXCL yesterday (27/1).

In the information disclosure quoted Friday (28/1), Johannes, Corporate Secretary of Link Net, confirmed that AII would claim 1,266,419,288 shares, while EXCL claims another 550,316,196 in LINK. “The price, as stated in the agreement, is set to IDR 4,800 per share,” he added.

By December 2021, LINK’s shares amounted to 2,863,195,484 shares, 27.9% of which belonged to PT First Media Tbk (KBLV). Another 35.55% was owned by Asia Link Dewa Pte Ltd, while UBS AG LDN had 6.28% and the public 26.37%. Its treasury stock made up 3.9%.

As previously informed, this transfer of shares is a follow-up to the term sheet signed in the middle of the last year between KBLV, ALD, Axiata Group Berhad, and EXCL concerning the transfer of 1,816,73,484 shares of LINK. (LK/ZH)
